Work Environment\n

This position operates in a hybrid setting where counselors will primarily provide remote services, complemented by occasional face-to-face sessions in our outpatient office located in Waterbury, Connecticut. We offer a flexible work schedule from 7 am to 10 pm, seven days a week, allowing you to tailor your availability to best meet the needs of the clients. Our supportive team structure, combined with administrative backing, ensures that practitioners can focus on what they do best: providing exceptional counseling services.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients' trauma history and create tailored treatment plans.

• Implementing effective and evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions designed to help patients process trauma, develop coping strategies, and enhance their overall well-being.

• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to deliver integrated care.

• Providing crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educating clients and their families on trauma responses, available resources, and coping mechanisms to empower them in their healing journey.

• Maintaining accurate, confidential documentation that adheres to all legal and ethical standards.

• Participating in regular case consultations and professional development activities centered on trauma-informed care and emerging research.
