Work Environment\n

This role is remote-based; however, it involves active participation in collaborative meetings and case consultations via virtual platforms. While the standard work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, we maintain flexibility to adapt to patient needs, ensuring that our services are accessible and responsive.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to accurately assess patients' trauma histories and develop tailored treatment plans.

• Design and implement individualized therapy plans focused on trauma recovery, incorporating various evidence-based methodologies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to assist patients in processing traumatic experiences, developing coping skills, and fostering resilience.
\n
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, integrated care for patients requiring multidisciplinary support.

• Provide crisis intervention services during trauma-related emergencies, offering immediate support and resources to patients in distress.
\n
• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources for ongoing support.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.

• Participate actively in professional development initiatives and training focused on trauma-informed practices and the latest research.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary client population consists of individuals who have experienced trauma, including those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.

• Active, valid licensure as a LMFT, LCSW, or LPC in the state of New Jersey.

• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect compassionately with a diverse patient demographic.

• Proficiency in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems along with various computer applications for documentation and reporting.

Preferred Experience\n

• Two or more years of post-licensure experience, particularly in trauma-focused therapy settings.

• Hands-on experience implementing trauma-informed approaches and therapies tailored to individual patient needs.

• A solid track record of professional development and active engagement in continuing education within the mental health field.
