Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to gain insight into patients' trauma histories and tailor suitable treatment interventions.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that effectively address patients’ specific trauma recovery goals, promoting resilience and coping strategies.
\n
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) tailored for each patient.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients navigate and process their trauma.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a well-rounded, integrated care approach for improved patient outcomes.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support for patients during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring their safety and emotional well-being.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, recovery processes, and available resources to enhance their support systems.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation adhering to legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Engage in case consultations and team meetings, contributing to an ongoing dialogue about best practices and trauma-informed care methodologies.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to continually enhance treatment effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be individuals who are navigating the complexities of trauma recovery, including adults and adolescents dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will be instrumental in helping these clients develop coping strategies, process their experiences, and move towards healing and empowerment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia.

• Demonstrated strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment approaches.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, paired with a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.
\n
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiar with various computer applications necessary for documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies, preferably in outpatient settings.

• Demonstrated experience in providing trauma-informed care and familiarity with resilience-building approaches is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
