Enjoy the flexibility of working remotely while being part of a dynamic and collaborative team. Our therapists operate within a structured framework that allows for a healthy work-life balance. The regular work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility available to cater to patient needs. As part of our outpatient facility, you will engage regularly with team members through virtual meetings, case consultations, and continuing education sessions, all designed to support your professional development and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments for patients, meticulously evaluating their trauma history and identifying suitable therapeutic approaches.

• Develop and tailor individualized treatment plans that focus specifically on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and addressing the unique needs of each patient.

• Implement evidence-based interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to aid patients in processing trauma and cultivating coping strategies.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, actively supporting patients as they navigate their healing processes and build supportive relationships.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to provide integrated and holistic care for patients facing complex mental health challenges.

• Provide essential crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating the ability to remain calm and focused in high-stress situations.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources to foster understanding and empowerment in the recovery process.

• Maintain precise, confidential, and legally compliant documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems to track patient progress and treatment outcomes.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development opportunities that focus on trauma-informed care best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a mental health therapist at Helping Hands Counseling Services, you will work primarily with individuals who have experienced trauma, including those grappling with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your role will be instrumental in guiding these individuals on their journey toward healing, utilizing a trauma-informed approach that acknowledges the multifaceted impacts of their experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Washington is essential.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on a compassionate and non-judgmental approach toward patients.

• A solid understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment methodologies and resilience-building strategies.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.

• Ability to demonstrate professionalism and empathy while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in providing mental health counseling services is preferred, particularly with trauma-focused therapies and interventions.

Compensation and Benefits\n

In recognition of your expertise and commitment, we offer a competitive salary range between $80,000 to $104,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
