We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Trauma-Informed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team at The Outlet Youth & Family Support Counseling Center. This full-time role offers a unique opportunity for licensed professionals to provide specialized mental health care to individuals navigating the complexities of trauma recovery. This position is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility, though you will also engage with clients from our outpatient office in Lakewood, New Jersey, as needed.

This role operates in a remote setting, allowing licensed mental health therapists the ability to manage their work-life balance while maintaining productivity and client engagement. Although primarily remote, there is a profound emphasis on teamwork and collaboration through virtual platforms where you will participate in case consultations and team meetings. The outpatient office in Lakewood stands ready for visits, ensuring that you have the resources and support needed for your role. Flexible work hours from Monday to Friday, typically between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, alongside a potential for adjustments based on patient needs, enhance a balanced work schedule.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to establish a client's trauma history and determine appropriate therapeutic interventions.

• Craft and implement individualized treatment plans centered on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and wellness.

• Utilize evidence-based practices, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to aid clients in their healing journey.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for clients to process their trauma and develop effective coping mechanisms.

• Work in close collaboration with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated and holistic care tailored to each client's unique needs.

• Offer crisis intervention and support during trauma-related situations, ensuring that clients feel secure and supported.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, empowering them with knowledge about coping strategies and local resources.

• Maintain precise, confidential documentation in alignment with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance and high-quality care.

• Engage in continued professional development and stay updated on the latest research and methodologies in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients we serve are primarily individuals affected by trauma-related disorders, including but not limited to PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our approach is centered around trauma-informed care, ensuring each client receives personalized treatment that respects their unique story and healing journey. You will work with a diverse population, providing valuable therapy tailored to individuals, families, and, at times, community groups.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT within New Jersey.

• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and proven trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with clients compassionately and non-judgmentally.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems with a strong understanding of confidentiality and documentation standards.

• Capacity to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, particularly focused on trauma recovery and therapeutic intervention.

• Experience with trauma-focused therapies and strong familiarity with evidence-based treatment approaches.

• Ability to remain calm and composed during high-stress situations and effectively manage crises.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Our competitive compensation package offers an annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
