Work Environment\n

This position allows for remote work, providing flexibility while ensuring that our therapists can meet the needs of their clients effectively. Although the work is performed remotely, our team maintains a strong sense of camaraderie through regular virtual meetings, case discussions, and collaborative therapy planning. Our work hours are generally Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some adjustments based on the availability of patients, ensuring that we provide help when it is most needed.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to gather information about patients' trauma histories and current psychological functioning.

• Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans with specific goals, strategies, and therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient’s unique situation.

• Utilize recognized evidence-based treatment modalities, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate effective externalization and healing of trauma.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on helping patients process traumatic memories and develop healthy coping mechanisms.
\n
• Engage in close collaboration with psychiatrists and allied health professionals to ensure integrated and coordinated care for all patients.
\n
• Provide immediate crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, allocating necessary resources and support.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, resilience strategies, and available community resources to promote better understanding and healing.

• Maintain meticulous, confidential records and documentation to adhere to state and federal guidelines, ensuring clarity for continuity of care.

• Participate in ongoing professional development activities and case consultations to stay informed of the latest research and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The therapist will primarily work with adults and adolescents who have experienced trauma, including but not limited to PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our patient population may face diverse challenges related to their mental health, requiring a therapist who can exhibit empathy, flexibility, and cultural competence. The ideal candidate should possess the skills to create a trusting therapeutic environment conducive to healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting with a focus on trauma-informed care.

• Deep understanding of trauma-related disorders and evidence-based trauma treatment modalities.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for effective connections with patients and their families.

• Calm and composed demeanor in high-stress or crisis situations, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and a basic understanding of computer applications relevant to telehealth practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n
