Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' psychological needs accurately, ensuring that trauma histories are a significant consideration in treatment planning.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma healing, integrating modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients through exercises that promote coping skills, emotional regulation, and post-traumatic growth.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to deliver cohesive, holistic care to each patient, fostering a multidisciplinary approach to treatment.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during emergency situations, demonstrating your ability to maintain calm and efficiency in high-pressure scenarios.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma reactions and available coping strategies, ensuring they have comprehensive resources for ongoing support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will focus primarily on individuals who have experienced trauma, potentially including victims of abuse, neglect, and systemic discrimination. Many of our patients may present with complex trauma and related challenges such as PTSD, dissociation, and emotional dysregulation. By offering culturally competent care tailored to the LGBTQ+ community, you will play an essential role in helping these individuals navigate their unique healing journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, mental health counseling, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid state licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or psychologist.

• In-depth understanding of trauma-informed therapy practices as well as resilience-building techniques.

• Demonstrated ability to provide trauma-focused therapy and interventions effectively.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the capacity to create a supportive and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with various digital collaboration tools.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
