Work Environment\n

This role is fully remote, allowing you to work from wherever you feel most productive. You will be part of a dedicated virtual team collaborating across various time zones, maintaining clear communication through digital platforms. While the standard work hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, some flexibility will be required to accommodate patient needs. We leverage technology in our practice, utilizing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to ensure streamlined operations and accessibility of patient information.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and identify effective therapeutic strategies tailored to individual needs.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at fostering trauma recovery and resilience in your clients.

• Utilize proven therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to deliver effective treatment.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that provide a structured environment for patients to process their trauma and cultivate coping skills.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and allied mental health professionals to provide integrated care that aligns with the best practices of trauma treatment.

• Be prepared to deliver crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and stabilization.

• Educate patients and their families about understanding trauma responses and developing personal coping mechanisms, as well as available community resources.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with ethical and legal guidelines, ensuring reliable record-keeping.

• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities centered on trauma-informed care methodologies.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continuously enhance treatment effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on individuals affected by trauma, including survivors of abuse, domestic violence, and those with a history of complex PTSD. Your expertise will address a spectrum of trauma-related challenges, working to restore the mental well-being of our clients and empower them to reclaim their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Virginia.

• At least two years of direct post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, preferably with a focus on trauma.
\n
• A solid understanding of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and strategies for building client resilience.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills exemplifying a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

Compensation and Benefits\n
