Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient's trauma history, facilitating the development of personalized treatment plans.

• Implement individualized therapeutic interventions, utilizing evidence-based methods such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at effectively helping patients process their traumatic experiences and discover adaptive coping strategies.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients, especially during crisis situations.

• Engage in crisis intervention when necessary, providing immediate support to patients in emotional distress.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma-related responses and available coping mechanisms to empower them in their recovery journeys.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation that adheres to legal and ethical standards to support case management and continuity of care.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development focused on trauma-informed practices.

• Stay informed of the latest research and advancements in trauma treatment methodologies to enhance the efficacy of therapy provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of your role will be on clients who are trauma survivors. Many of our patients experience complex trauma and PTSD, requiring sensitive and personalized care. As you work with these individuals, you will be tasked with fostering trust and promoting resilience to help them overcome obstacles to their mental health.

Qualifications\n

• Education: A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.

• Licensure: A valid and current license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
\n
• Knowledge: A thorough understanding of trauma-related disorders, as well as trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach toward clients.

• Tools: Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a therapeutic setting, particularly focused on trauma-focused therapies.

• Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
